what would be a desirable crank(scat, eagle or other brand) to run in one of those 440ci 302 based stroker engines?

You cannot build a 440 inch combination with a 302 block. You need a 351 block as a starting point. what is the biggest you can take one of those dart 302 blocks out to?

With a 4.185 bore (Dart block)and a 3.4 stroke, you get around 375 cubic inches. Of course this cost about the same as the 440 based on the 9.5" Dart block.

ahhh ok it must be a print error on there web site. it says 4.185 bore and 4inch stroke

No, a 4 inch stroke is not possible in a 8.2" deck
