I have a 1850 vaccum secondary holley carb that I am converting to center hung fuel bowls and already have the quick change jet fuel bowl for the front. I was wondering if I should buy the secondary metering block for the rear and the quick change fuel bowl, or just leave the metering plate in. It is on a mild built 302. Will I be able to tune it better with the secondary block or not? Also my 750 has a little black plastic piece in the center top in between the fuel bowl and the metering block on the primary side. What is that for and is it needed when I convert my 600 to center hung fuel bowls?

Yeah,You'll be able to jet the secondaries with the rear metering block. That may or may not help you. Probably will help, SteveW

Or look at the metering plate with changable jets from QFT.Don't forget the longer bowl screws if you go with a metering block.
