I can`t seem to find the required long wheel studs I need for my 85 Mustangs front rotors. At least I can`t find any that don`t require the stud holes to be made larger, which is something I don`t like doing with a drill bit. Anybody make studs that fit without modifying the rotor?------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed 59 Meteor (Canadian Ford) 2 dr sedan 332, auto 74 F350 ramp truck 390 4spd

Rory, we use he Moroso 46180 studs in all Fox rotors. I drill the holes and press in the new studs. I do it in a drill press. They are that way on Tony's Capri and the convert. Before we put Strange Axles in the cars we also did the same with the stock 8.8 axles. We never have any difficulty and the most we have had to do was make very minor adjustments to the stud alignment. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Alex, what size did you drill the holes out to? You would think with all the 5.0 Mustangs running Weld wheels, that SOMEONE would make a stud the proper size, wouldn`t you? ------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed 59 Meteor (Canadian Ford) 2 dr sedan 332, auto 74 F350 ramp truck 390 4spd

Rory, I thought the same thing but nobody that I have found makes a specific stud. I drill the hole with a 5/8 bit. I use a Craftsman gold premium bit as the rotors are very hard. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked."
