My new engine for next year has an MSD crank trigger. Never ran one before. I've got the crank trigger set at 36timing to start with the distibutor locked out.I understand I need to phase the distributor rotor. When does the rotor need to point directly at the terminal for the #1 cylinder? When the timing pointer is at 36on the damper (full advance) or 0(TDC)? Might be a dumb question, just never had this setup before. Thanks David Cole

Set the distributor in on number one terminal with the pointer at 36 degrees on the balancer David. It will start that way. You will adjust the timing by moving the crank trigger pick up. The phasing will come after start up. You will need a hole in the top of the cap and the rotor has to be painted so you can see it through the hole in the cap. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked."
