getting time to think about my engine this winter, do i spend 3 grand on new cyclinder heads, vic jr stage 2, port matched to a vic jr manifold, that is ported also to flow with the heads, new hy roller with 575 to 600 lift, mine now is 536 lift, 408W, as you know its putting out over 400 at the flywheel 380ft lbs @3100, stealth sr heads cast iron, or just spend some money on a n20 kit maybe 100 shot some traction bars, and drag radials, this new engine package will be over 500 hp, that means higher stall,2500 now, have to go with 31 spline axles, now 28, at least 3000 stall, trans cooler, getting that anyway, traction bars, drop base air cleaner to fit under my 69mach1 hood,my heads are cnc'ed can sr heads flow good with good port job, i like to save some money on the heads maybe bigger cam and manifold, only problem i having is its mostly street car, so i'll never see past 4000 grand where i live unless i go to the track, any ideas would be helpfull. thanks

hang on... what do you mean .... power OR traction? You won't go much faster without traction!

If you won't often exceed 4 grand forget the hi-rpm porting and build it for torque. Nitrous would be the better option for that.

Are your Windsor Sr heads ported?
If not, get them ported and get a RPM airgap intake if you want a torque motor.

hey mpcoluv,no my sr heads are cnc ported, and port matched to my stealth, i dont think the airgap is going to fit under my hood, have to do some cutting to make it fit, the guy im dealing with said i will not lose any bottom end torque with the set up hes doing for me, vic jr heads stage 2, port matched to vic jr manifold that is cleaned up on all runners to flow even, and much bigger cam , he said ill see 400 ft lbs of torque though out the curve, with 500 flywheel hp, now i can go with the sr heads in alum, sell the ones i have now, get the airgap and go from there, should i keep the cam thats in now hy roller 218 228 536 536 112 lunati grind? i like to keep all the torque down low without loseing top end. thanks
