I have an Xtreme energy solid flat tappet in my 351C. Comparing specs with other cams, the ramp angles are faster than a lot of hydraulic roller cams, and they approach some of the "street" solid rollers even. I like it, but it's hard to compare with other cams except on paper. It's not like I've run 30 different cams in this engine, ya know? I'd recommend it, and I'd recommend getting a custom grind. It's no more money than an off the shelf, so why not?
