hello again, you guys helped me out a lot this summer (understatement!!! thanks), and now it is time for some changes.

13.77 Best et, 99.9 mph (can regularly get 13.9's)

60 ft. times 2.1's (drag radials launching a 4000 rpm)

3.00 gears, ford 9" clutch type posi (4spd)

here's the deal, I barely get into 4th gear or I just start tapping the rev limmiter in 3rd (set at 6500 rpm) when I cross the finish line. My best et's are obtained when shifting a little early into 4th, maybe 300 ft from the finish. So my question is...What ratio gears do I get and/or how do I figure that out?

thanks, (this forum is a life($$$)saver)

You didn't say what size tires you were running,(diameter).I'm running similiar times to yours 13.69 with 2.0 60fts.I'm running 4.11s with a 4 speed and 25.5 diameter tires and I'm going through the traps at about 5500 rpms. You didn't say if this is primarily a street car or whether your after the ultimate ET.This will make a big difference in what gears to get along with your tire diameter.
