My Hooker super comps are about shot. They are at least 8 yrs old, have been coated once after they were 3 yrs old, and are starting to rust again. I have broken 2 tubes right in front of the collector on the passenger side and had them welded, and now have broken another tube in the same spot. They are 1 7/8" primaries with a 3 1/2" collector. Hedman makes a race header for my car that has 2 1/8" primaries and the same 3 1/2" collector. Since this is for my racecar, and it has a 6000 rpm convertor, I could care less about low end torque loss. How do you all think it will affect the performance of the car? I think it will add some more top end (hi-rpm) power, but could be wrong.

Get the BIG headers Rob. I never knew you had that small a header. Even the 351C stocker guys have 2 inch headers. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." If you think the 1 7/8" is small, you should have seen it when I had 1 3/4" primnary headers on it.
