I know, I know. I'm sure it's been covered a thousand times. But on a stock 2bbl 66 289, how much hp would an edelbrock performer intake and holley 600 along with a good 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" dual exhaust setup be worth over stock? Are these good choices? They'll probably be the only engine mods (besides maybe a pertronix if I can talk her into it) and she's sticking with exhaust manifolds.

Intake and carb worth about 10-15 HP over stock. Headers and a good exhuast system worth 20-25 HP MINIMUM!  ------------------

What if she keeps her exhaust manifolds? Then what is the exhaust worth?

Not much. About ten would be the best you can expect regardless of the pies and mufflers.  ------------------
