I remember reading about them, but can't remember what the differenc is between them. Is there any difference?

here is a pic on this auction for the Square N case. It doesn't appear to have nodular caps.

I`ve had several of each style. Normally the rounded "N" has nodular caps as well, & was used in the late 60`s-early 70`s "Musclecars", like the 428&429 CJ cars & Boss cars. The "typewriter" "N"`s I`ve had were all lacking the "N" caps, & came in later PU`s & vans.

What is the story behind this strange looking Strange 9" carrier that shows up on eBay from time to time.

Also, what about the FRPP nodular street carried M-4141-L? Is it nothing more than the old non-ribbed carrier?
