why aren't twin four barrel carb set ups common? do they produce hp?

"One large four barrel is a lot less trouble than two...."
With todays intake and carb technology a dual quad setup is not needed in most situations. However a tunnel ram can be made to perform on the street with a lot of tuning. David Vizard thinks that they work pretty well on the street (SBC experience talking) because of the long runners which help with the torque curve.
I don't have Vizards tuning skill (or test equip.) however.
Even in most all out race situations, it seems (from observation) that a dominator is usually enough.
I am sure some more experienced people will comment....
