Stripped out a bolt hole in the main body of the carburator (One of the 4 bolts that hold the metring block and bowl in). It appears that summit has heli-coil kit, but they want like $66 for a kit. Does anyone know if there are any alternatives for this, or know what size the bolt is. I took the bolt up to the local auto parts store and it is not a 5 or 6 mm nor is it a 1/4" or a #10. I am guessing that Holley makes a special type thread so they can triple the price of a normal heli-coil kit. Anyone done this before or know any alternative to repair?
Thanks....
Jeff

Get the 1/4 inch heli coil kit and re-tap it.

Thanks Alex...... I did some more research and found out the that the correct kit from Heli-Coil is a 12-24 x .324 P/N 5521-1 and I my local parts place was able to order it for about $25. Sure beat the hell out of $67 bucks.
