How strong are the stock units? At what point would a person want to replace it? Anybody ever tried adding additional clutches to make it stronger?

It's a weak dog! 50 HP or more over stock will begin taking it's toll with a stick. An auto will take about 100 HP. Not worth beefing up. Aftermarket stuff is much better and more reliable. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator/ non 65-66 Mustang owner sensitivity co-ordinator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# (who knows?)
