thinking of changing my cam on my 408W, current cam is lunati hy roller 218 228 536 536 112, 108. lunati has two other grinds that i think my engine builder gave me to choose from a few years back, 1st one is 2500-6500,224,232,535,544,112 108.2nd2800-6500,232,242,544,560,112,108.which one would be better, still like that low torque on my current engine dynoed @380.4 3100rpm's, so would this cam or cams keep the low end torque, also thinking of vic jr manifold with 3000 stall, 2500 now, am i going in the right diection?have stealth port matched to my sr heads.

i may be wrong(which is often)but i dont think with 408 cubes, that a slightly bigger cam will really make a loss of torque that noticable

SM,

Use the biggest one, with the extra cubes it son't seem as big as it is. We're using a little solid roller in our 408w, and it's bigger than that. Idles at 800 rpm and is streetable. Runs high 10s at 124 mph so far. BTW, we prefer Comp cams.
