Hello M&M, I'm thinking about acquiring the 418w stroker kit from Scat. What are your opinions of this kit? Thanks, Jason

Jason,That one looks good to me. Be sure to have it balanced to the 28oz specs. and l/w forged race pistons to equal the c/r you want. Remember flat tops will equal over 12-1 compression with 60cc combustion chambers. Talk to them about the c/r with whichever heads you choose. My choice would be Edel. Vic Jr's. They are available in 60cc or 70cc. The 70cc would be the choice with flat top pistons to keep your c/r low enough for pump gas. Good luck, SteveW

Thanks Steve, I have a set of Dart seniors with stage three port work. they offer a JE piston with a 17cc dish which will put the c/r at about 10.5Thanks for your help. maybe i'll see ya at the track next year, Jason

Just been working on the Mustang a bit. I hope to have it back together before rain hits. Maybe if i'm lucky I can get a couple of passes in at Sears Point before they close. When do they usually shut down for the winter?Jason
