I have seen several 79+Mustangs with the Moroso "Trick" front coil springs, they all seem to sit up high like a 4x4 unless they have had at least 1 full coil cut off. Do this springs EVER settle if left uncut, like Moroso claims? On my 428 Fairmont, the car isn`t carrying the front tires like it used to, & it appears my old front springs (88 4 cyl. Mustang, with 1/2 coil removed) are dead, as the front end is pretty much sitting on the bump stops, so I`m losing out on the springs"stored energy". I was thinking of trying a set of the Moroso`s, thinking that the extra weight of the FE big block may allow the car to not sit as high as the 302 cars I`ve seen. Any thoughts?------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed 59 Meteor (Canadian Ford) 2 dr sedan 332, auto 74 F350 ramp truck 390 4spd

Moroso spings suck for FoMoCo's. They do not work or fit at all. We have the best luck with TRW/Moog 86 Merc Capri 4 cylinder no A/C front springs on all Fox drag cars that we set up. They are a bit taller than the Mustang units so you do not sag as much and they hold up well. We have the same set on Tony's car since 1997. They are about $55 to $60 at most discount parts outlets. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator/ non 65-66 Mustang owner sensitivity co-ordinator NHRA/IHRA/SRA/MCA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Part time secret agent license #0089 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked."
