OK I was changing my front seal on my car and accidently lost the half moon keyway that lines up the balancer with the crank. I have checked at 3 FORD dealers. The dealer's computers don't "list" the actual number although they do show it on the diagram. They say they can't get it anymore. I went to all the parts houses, even NAPA and all the standard sizes are too big. I checked the machine shop at work and same problem all too big. I remember when I installed it I had to use one that was too large and grind the flat off. SURELY SOMEWHERE one of these exists?? Any ideas?? I would like to use an original one made for it. WHY ARE THE LITTLE THINGS SUCH A PAIN IN THE ARSE? I bet Alex or Steve has one in their pocket

Find an auto parts store or machine shop that carries Dorman or Pioneer products. They both offer oem and universal woodroff keys.

Also hardware stores carry them. I replaced the one on my 460 recently with one from True Value hardware. It fit perfect. I believe it was 1/4" wide.
