My 60's went from consistant 1.64-1.65 down a little to 1.62-1.63 even though with the brake I did run a 1.619. It bumped my ET by .04-.06 no major gain but it should help with consistancy so I'm told. ------------------ 351c 4v clsd heads 60'1.619 1/8 [email protected] 1/4 [email protected]

How were your lights with the t-brake? It's a different animal to get used too. Also are you using a two step with it? You can fine tune your launch with the "chip" rpm.SteveW

Yes, I am using a 2 step with it. The problem for me is I have to launch when the last yellow is bright with my current set up. Its really hard to determine the shade of the light(impossible).I cut a .486,.498,.499,.539 and a bunch of high .5 and .6's. I left my chip at 3200 on my 4600 stall. I could lower the chip and try to launch at the first sign of the last yellow. When I stage I just set off the bottom yellow. Got any ideas? When I was hitting the .486-.499 lights,I was launching as soon as I saw the last yellow.[This message has been edited by 70coupe (edited 09-02-2002).]

I wish I did, my driver hit a .502 light followed by a .430 and a .436 in eliminations waiting for the last yellow. HELP!! It's a 26" front tire (maybe a 28" tire would help?) We're gonna hit the practice tree and try blinding the top two yellows, but how can we slow this package down? The driver is my 19 year old daughter who is a black belt and has the reflexes of a cat. The car is pretty quick too. 5 of the last 7 runs have been red.SteveW

For the last few years, while bottom bulb racing I have had to wait for the last yellow to be "on" before I can leave. If I go as soon as I see color, .480's at the best. I do use a 28" tall front tire. Not real sure how to tell you to do it besides a lot of seat time, but I do know it took me awhile before I got consistant at it.

Rob,Thanks! I was thinking it was an anticipation of the bottom bulb. I'm gonna do some driver reaction time tests on the practice tree, do you know what yours are? Then factor in the car's reaction times and try to figure this out. Thanks again! SteveW
