 | posted 08-31-2002 11:37 AM Windsor SR heads fully ported and milled for 58cc combustion chambers. How much better are these than say fully ported 351 windsor heads with 194/160 valves.I know they don't flow as well as some of the new aluminum stuff but they're less than half price of any aluminum head I can get up here in Canada.

But it really depends on the quality of the porting. Do you have any flow numbers?

 | posted 08-31-2002 05:07 PM I had those heads on the 383W in the 69 Mustang that I just sold. These heads were just home ported and were good enough for 6.80's 1/8 mile (10.70's 1/4) at 3000 lbs. I'm sure they could have done much more if pro-ported.
If you can get them at a good price, go for it. Later, David Cole IP: Logged |
