Speed demon = Barry Grant and thier very random and poor quality control and terrible tech support.

Holley = The guys who started the whole thing.

I would buy a Holley 750 HP double pumper.

I personally, wouldnt take a speed demon to use if someone gave it to me. I have seen and heard to many horror stories about the Demon line of carbs causing problems. And on top of that, I believe the last unbiased dyno report I saw showed the HP carb make more HP than the overpriced Demon.

I have an OLD BG alcohol carb on my car. It works great now. But the guy I bought it from, said when he had it converted from gas to alchy, it took BG four tries before they got it right. And he said they were A-holes to him everytime they screwed up the carb and he had to send it back. He said he really wished he had never sent it to them in the first place.

Apology accepted.

I run a Holley that was modified by BG years ago. I have rebuilt it many times and it keeps on working great. Just remember.....it's still a Holley. The new BG stuff is not as good in my opinion.
Holleys are hard to beat.
