Just wondering the difference in length between the C4 with the small bellhousing and a small block C6? Anyone know off hand?
ha,ha..

Just trying to get an idea of how much longer my drive shaft will be with the C4.

C-6 is about 4 inches longer and has a substantially greater girth. It is over 50 lbs heavier also.

I went to the final 4 on Saturday but we hit the midnight curfew and Sunday was rained out so it will be completed at the beginning of the rain date for the J&P weekend.

I was just over at my brothers house and measured his c-4.Put the tail stock against the wall and measured from the wall to the front edge of the bellhousing(where it would bolt to the block) and I got 31 1/2 inches. The splined shaft stuck out of the tailshaft about 1/2 an inch on this trans. There was another one there and the shaft only stuck out about 1/4.Strange I don't know what the difference is,They are probably different years for sure.Good work at J&P I thought you redlighted but it must have still been time trials.Did you get your issue with the fuel coming out the back solved?

yea! The redlight was on my last time trial pass. As for the fuel coming out of the back, I just needed another gasket on the fuel cap. It was on there a little loose and when I launched it sloshed a little out the back. Thanks very much for taking the time to measure that for me. I really appreciate it as I'm having a new drive shaft built for the C4.
