This is a question for those who use electronics; what light do you leave on?

hi buster, havnt heard from you for a while. if you are talking about a delay box, they release the button on the first flash of the first bulb.------------------ mike r racing is real everything else is just a game. 81 capri-7.56 @88mph 1/8 1.56 60 ft. http://prestage.com/site/site_display.asp?SiteID=141

Hi capri man. Yeh, I do as well. But, I have been talkin to some guys that are leaving on the second and others that leave on the last light...After thinking about it, it make sense to leave on the second bulb... less of a supprise, lol.

Your first reaction is ALWAYS the most consistent. That is why almost all of the delay box racers, especailly those that are worth a darn, leave on the first flash. And actually, I have never heard of anyone with a delay box not leave on the first flash. If they are the slow car, it is thier first light, if they are the faster car, it is the opponents first light. I leave off the first bulb. That is really the only right way to do it. Otherwise you anticipate the bulb and that throws your reaction time all out of whack.

You guys forgot crossing over, and leaving off the other guy's top bulb. Assuming you're the faster car. Edit- I take it back, KV mentioned it. And if his top bulb didn't feel right, you can try it again on your own top bulb. Two chances SteveW [This message has been edited by steve'66 (edited 07-25-2002).] [This message has been edited by steve'66 (edited 07-25-2002).]

Not with my box. It's an old cross-over Dedenbear, and has no second chance capability. So, if I miss the first time, I'm in trouble. Kinda like last week in the finals.
