I need some advice on where to start or even if I should change my Transmission to a FoMoCo while I am rebuilding my front end again. Now would be the time to do it while I am placing the motor plate, mid plate, etc.. I haven't had alot of problems with my Powerglitch except that I rarely get over 75 to 100 passes out of one. I am using a JW bellhousing, 8 inch PTC convertor ( 4600 stall ) and a TCI Pro tree brake. Any suggestions? C4? C6 ?? LENCO?? this last one might be more fun but probably not realistic. THANKS! Jerry

I use a C4, but thats only cuz my little motor doesnt make enough torque to get a powerglide to work properly. And for bracket racing, I think a powerglide is the better trans, as far as a consistency factor, IF you have enoughg motor to make it work (which I dont, and you do). I would think a good powerglide would last more than 100 passes running those et's.

Thanks guys, No doubt the Jericho looks tempting and the most reliable and fun. However, I may be able to find a reliable tranny for less bones than that. One can always hope. I am no doubt at the very least switching Powerglitch builders, so if any of you guys know of a reputable trans builder please feel free to pass it on to me. I am satisfied with PTC convertors. I guess for now at least I'll stick with the Powerglitch, since I have all the pieces and one spare. However if anyone can present a good argument to switch I'd be glad to listen. Personally, I hate a GM product in my car, it was just the easiest thing to do at the time. Jerry
