I have a 351C-4V, Wieand Xcelerator Intake Manifold, Stock Heads, Stock Cam, and Stock duel exhaust and need some advice on Carb tunning. I have a 650 Dbl Pumper w/ mechinacal secondaries on it right now and would like advice on where to start with the settings. Shooters? Jets? Pump Cams? Power Valve? I measured the Vaccume and it reads 14HG at idel. Anyone have a similar set up? Any help would be appreciated.

I would go with the pink cam in the second position. As for squirters, I had good luck with 35 or 37 primary and 31 secondary. Now if I could just figure out these fancy HP carbs with the air bleeds!![This message has been edited by 70coupe (edited 05-07-2002).]

Shooters: try 31 primary and 28 seconday first Jets: 68 primary 72 secondary Pump cams: green primary pink seconday Power valve: try the 6.5 and see how the midrange acceleration is. If it hesitates from part power to WOT maybe go with a 7.0 14"Hg is a decent amount of vacuum idle.

The air bleeds are fantastic. Basically an air bleed is a controlled leak of air into the fuel stream that is headed for the booster and has already been through the main jet. Air enters though the air bleed orifice and mixes with the fuel through the emulsifier tubes. It allows you to alter the high rpm mixture, in each venturi, without affecting the other. You want to richen up your high RPM mixture, put in a SMALLER bleed jet, you want to lean it out, put in a BIGGER bleed jet.

This is an old 4150 model. It doesnt have air bleeds I believe. Your response is intresting though.
