Does any one know how much an intake and heads would cost to convert a 302 into a Boss? What are the valve sizes on 302 Clevland heads, and what is the cc? Thanks for all the help.

Boss 302 valves -69 2.23/1.71 -70 2.19/1.71.Head cc -69 61-64,-70 57-60. I have no idea of the $$ involved in true boss 302 heads or intake.But 351c heads can be used with minor cooling passages mods. 4V heads(D1AE-GA)has 2.19/1.71 valves and 64-67 cc. ------------------

I am far from an expert here, but I always thought that Boss engines shared nothing with the standard 302 and was the beginning of the Cleveland engine and some Cleveland parts will cross over but not stock 302 parts? Don't quote me as I was wrong once, but it turned out I was mistaken (LOL). Bill

The Boss 302 has unique heads, intake and exhaust manifolds. Everything else is standard 302 dimensions. The block is a heavy duty 4bolt main but all bolt and coolant holes are standard 302. The rods are different length but can be used in other 302's with the right pistons. The crank is standard 302 dimensions but is forged instead of cast.If you want a Boss motor for a restoration good luck, you will be bidding against some serious collectors. If you are just trying to build a hot 302, use the current aftermarket aluminum pieces, they make a much better package. John Quinn
