I have a 65 coupe with, C4, 302, 9in. with 5.13 gears, & 29x18.5x15 M/T sportsmans. Any idea what rpm I will be at in a 1/4 mile? I 'm guessing around 7500.

Thanks,
Mike

What do you think your trap mph will be? If you know that, then you can plug your numbers into one of those nifty gear ratio calculators and it will tell you.

Right, that totally depends on your engine.

As a frame of reference, 100 mph will be at 6103 rpm.

You can try this, but you have to add several hundred rpm for converter slippage.

Good Luck!

RPM289 Mike,

Your guess will be about right if you hit 120mph in the 1/4.

I have no idea. I haven't had the car to the track yet, first several times will bw 1/8 anyway so I can get some numbers for all those calculators out there.

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for all the information everyone! I can't wait to get the car out to the track. Hopefully I will in the next few weeks.
