Upgrading my Manuel drum brakes to Manuel Disc brakes. As long as I have to redo the brake lines. I thought I would install a Line-Loc for the track. I picked up my summit catalog and found three different types.

1.) Biondo Line Lock - 39.95 Accessory Kit 15.99

2.) TCI Roll stop kit - 69.95

3.) Hurst Roll Control - 107.95

4.) Summit Line Lock installation Kit - 27.39

Anyone have any experience with the above?
Any suggestions or thoughts would be great.
I am going to be doing all the work myself.
First time doing it and I want to do it right.

Thanks.

None of the companies that are selling these line locs are the MANUFACTURER. All they do is buy "x" part in "x" quantities, and label them as their own, just like thousands of other companies. Two prominent solenoid valve companies in this area are PeterPaul Mfg and Precision Dynamics, who made the Hurst Roll Control. Knowing this, I'd get the Biondo unit. Most likely they buy them from one of the above companies and label them as their own. There is only one moving part and one seal in a solenoid valve, so reliability is not really an issue. Save the extra cash for some other parts. As far as the install kits, don't bother as long as you have a good parts store in the area with a decent selection of hydraulic fittings. You will probably not use 80% of the parts in their kits.

I agree,

Our line locks have been Jeg's generic solenoids and the fittings were from our local auto parts store. I think we had maybe $35 in each line lock.

And if you have to cut any brake lines, make sure some one or yourself has a DOUBLE flaring tool available.
