When I first started running my mustang it ran something like 16.80s bone stock. After I changed the motor it ran high 14s and I gradually chipped away and got that first 13.99!I was so happy to be in that 13 second bracket (for about 2 weeks)now I'm looking for that 12.99 run.I don't no how long that will keep me happy for, but probably before you know it I'll be looking for 11s.Yes speed is addictive (and expensive)

Speed is very addictive. When I first started racing I was racing my 70 fastback which happened to be my street car. First time to the track with a 302 and a 2.79 gear it ran 15.70's. I changed motors and gears and decided to run an entire season. At the sart of that season I was running 13 ohs. By mid season it was runnning 12.60's and was still my street car. I changed cars (to a granada) the next year, got a good convertor and got down to 11.90's with the same motor and gear. After getting that car to run a best of 10.85 and winning a track championship, I switched cars again (to my current car). Last year it ran the fastest I have ever gone, 9.97.
