Started preparing for the swap last night, dumped the radiator, tranny (due for some fresh anyway),driveshaft out, radiator, battery and starter out, tonight will have the 289 ready to pull Friday morning, taking a holiday from work to get this rolling a little earlier, hope to fire-off the new 351 Friday night or Saturday morning.

I did stripe up the driveway before pulling into the garage, last hurrah for the 289, it will be stored with care for future use.

Hi Steve, It's up and running, I've driven it about 200 miles so far, had 2 1/2 exhaust with 2 chamber flowmasters put on it and it sounds good, ran it up to about 4000 rpm in 1,2,3 and it was pulling real hard, just waiting for a few more miles before I rip on it any harder. The 8 inch rear has to go, I have a Currie 9 inch with 3.50 gears detailed and ready to install with 2 1/2 inch brakes, just need more time.
I took a bunch of pictures but need to get them developed, will post a few ASAP.
