Was just wondering if anyone here has used Ultradyne cams. Was wondering what everyone opinion is of them weather you have used them or not.

I personally never have used them. I have never heard any negative about the company and hear that they specialize on FoMoCo products. I know a few Cleveland guys that swear by them, but they are not particularly fast. What I can tell you is that I am not aware of any NHRA or IHRA record holders with FoMoCo's that use them. All that I know of use either Comp, Lunati, or Bullet (former Comp employees). ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator/ non 65-66 Mustang owner sensitivity co-ordinator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Part time secret agent license #0089 US Class Nationals link

I have one of thier rollers in my 351C. Freind of mine who does head work recomended them. I gave them all the specs on my car that I could come up with, and went with what they recomended. Bought cam, lifters, springs, Titanium retainers and keepers. Have to say they were more expensive then other companies, but I figured it would be better to stick with one company then mix and match from other companies. I got the it together and initally it ran pretty good, then the performance droped some, I made changes that I thought it would pick it up but never got back to the performance it had. The reason I later found out was because the pin on the cam was bending/breaking, I had tourqed the factory cam bolt to specs. but the cam wasn't drilled and tapped as deep as factory ones, so the bolt bottomed in the cam and wasn't holding the gear as tight as it should of. ( I should of caught this!) When the pin broke it bent all the exhaust valves and push rods, one of the push rods kinked over at the lifter and cracked the top of it at the link bar. I called them to buy a replacement and was told they don't sell single pairs, only full sets! Needless to say I think there service SUCKS! Later on I wrote them a very bussiness like letter telling them how dissapointed I was with there service and how I could no longer recomend them to other racers, I haven't heard anything from them yet! As far as the performance goes the jury is still out, until I see how it runs with the cam timing right on, I think timing was slipping from the beginning. Sorry this was so long! Roger
