I just called Bassani asking about their X-pipes, they wanted $135 for theirs. Are there any cheaper ones available or can I just go ahead and make one myself? If so, what radius bend needs to be achieved for good results? Thanks for the help. Sorry double post. ------------------ 1968 302 5-spd Fastback 1965 Coupe 1981 F-150 email: [email protected]

it will be hard to build one for much less than $135. if you do just be sure that when you look up the right pipe that you are looking straight up through the left pipe. did that make sense?? good luck------------------ mike r racing is real everything else is just a game. 81 capri-7.56 @88mph 1/8 1.56 60 ft.

I personally can't stand X or H pipes. Call me old-fashoned. I'll take open headers any day, or short pipes/muffs and turn-downs. SteveW

There is a cheaper option. I used a FlowTech 3" Universal X pipe that I had my local muffler shop weld in. I ordered mine from Summit for about $35.00 plus shipping. The part # is BIG-53621. They had to cut a little off the ends to make it fit, but I am real happy with it. Hope this helps Rob www.65restomod.com

Thanks guys. I was just gonna get one and still have the option to go back to true duals if I didn't like the tone or flow. The one Rob mentioned in Summit must have been hiding from me. Thanks for the suggestions. Marshall------------------ 1968 302 5-spd Fastback 1965 Coupe 1981 F-150 email: [email protected] [This message has been edited by 68Mustang (edited 02-26-2002).]

yeah .. 35 bucks is a good price for a 3" X-pipe. A good muffler shop guy that can twist up some nice pipes would charge more than that to make one, plus labor to install it of course. ------------------ 1969 "S" code Mach1
