im thinking about building a stroker out of my 351w i wanted to know an average price for the machine work to stroke it. if you know please let me know thanks a lot

Well, are you going to get a crank from Scat?
Or modify a 400m crank?

Here's my guess with no assembly.

Crank - $450 (Castillo or Scat)
Balancing - $250
Block prep and clearencing - $350

So that's around $1050 with no parts.
You still nee rods, pistons, rings etc....

crank shouldn't cost that much, it's not offset ground.

You have to turn down the snout ring and reduce the total O.D. of the counterweights.
The 400 crank does not just drop in.
