http://www.charm.net/~mchaney/roaddyno/dyno.htmThis is a device that you hook up to your ignition system (like at a plug wire) and it records the sound of the ignition pulse, turning it into a .WAV file, as you accelerate, like on a drag strip. You input the data into your computer, and, after stating weight, gearing, etc., it calculates your torque, and from that your horsepower. Basic physics, or a bunch of phewy? Opinions?

My guess is that if it uses true data from the enigine and you combine that with the physical data of the vehicle, then it should be a better indication of acceleration than using true dyno figures that don't really tell you how an engine will react in a car. BS
