BIGS Stage-5 950HP damn what a difference! By far the biggest power mod I have made thus far. Totally new car from the 750DP and 850DP I tried on the same motor in the past.

I was running a 750dp. Now I bought a Holley 1000cfm HP series carb. Hoping for good results in the spring.

Predator. Big square one barrel.
It really helps out with the midrange and low end.
I also have a Holley 750 Annular Discharge
in the box that I am going to try.

On my race car I have an old BG 750 alcohol carb that flows 926. Before that I ran a gas 950 HP. It was faster and more consistent than the 750 annular discharge carb I took off. That carb will eventually go on my street Cleveland if I ever get one put back together for my '70.

I've got a 750 vacuum secondary Holley on my car right now. Just to be different, I'm in the process of converting to port fuel injection. When I get that far I'll start by running an 80mm throttle body and 30 lb injectors.

Is a 950HP Holley too big for a street engine? Small solid roller with .588 lift and 234/236 duration @ .050.....10.5:1 compression.

mine is a 70 4bbl motor 10.2 compression .585 lift .252 duration torker intake with a 750 dp feels like it needs more carb on top end so the 950 should be just fine in my oppinion

The 950HP uses 750 sized throttle bores with an 850 baseplate... with a bunch of smoothing thrown in to achieve the 950 flow rating.

The 750 throttle bores, along with it's downleg boosters provide a great signal. It will be a bit more responsive than a 850DP. All the 950HP really is... is a hot-rodded 750DP. If a 750 isn't too big for the car, the 950HP won't be too large either.

Good Luck!

I tried the 750, the 850 and stopped very pleased with the 950 Like Mike said, all the throttle response of a 750 and the top end of the 850 combined! Buy it, your motor will love your for it.
