i was considering buying one to fool around with some engine combos. are these accurate? thanks, mike

I think they are only as accurate as the info you put in them. My engine builder got one just for kicks, and put some dyno tested motor combos in his to see how well it compared to the actual numbers. The desktop dyno was within 5 HP on all of them. But, he knew exact flow figures from the heads, actual compression ratio, camshaft figures, and all that info .

p.s. He had the newer version of the desktop dyno he was foolin with.
