According to Comp Cam's catalog, the 294S is 2500-6500 rpm operating range. {Great for street/strip. 4 speed or automatic w/ 3500 stall, intake, headers, low gears, very rough idle, 10-1 compression} The 282S is 2000-6000 rpm operating range. {For street machines. Lower axle ratio, and 2500 stall converter, rough idle.}
We run the 282S in the 351w and it idles like a pussy cat. Great bottom end torque too. SteveW

Steve 66 was just wondering how you like that 282S Cam, what engine combination, stall, gear you run with it. How does it run?

Jerry,It's a little small now with the converter stalling at 4000 rpm. But it was a fine street cam, made good power and idled well. The engine is a 10-1 Edelbrock RPM heads and intake w/ 750 Holley on top. SteveW
