I'm thinking about milling my heads for more compression. How much CR can I get away with on 93 octane with 70 4V heads with this cam...

282/288 adv dur 244/[email protected]" 108LSA

If I committed to using octane boost, how much compression could I run? How much extra hp/tq would this be worth over the pump gas CR? Thanks.

I would suggest running around the same profile ground on a 110LSA if this is a street car. I ran a 108 with close to 11:1 on my 71 quench headed 4V motor and having to put octane boost in every fill up is a pain in the arse. The roller 244/[email protected] .623/.623 110LSA cam I run now is awesome for the street and since your car is a stick, the slightly bigger profile will work perfect for you.

It's going to be 80% strip, 20% street.

The tighter the LS the more cylinder pressure. With a 112 or 114 LS you can have 12.5 to 1 compression and still run on pump gas.

11 to 1 with 93 octane and no more than 34 degrees of timing should work.
