has anyone ever heard of a reed carb? the # on it is 79-1936. thanks

Reed was/is? big in oval track racing. They're a very respected old name in the way of camshafts. And they have the same rep when it comes to carbs. Back in the 70's they even did cylinder head work for NASCAR teams. I have an old article on a 351C head they worked on. ------------------

Im using a solid flat tappet REED cam in the 528, so far I like it alot. Iv'e called them on several occassions and they know what they sell, they were very helpful when it came down to choosing the cam specs for my application

A little known tidbit, Reed cams is located in Georgia, "The Man" died a few years ago when his ultralight aircraft crashed in front of his home.
