I have a solid lift cam and lifters laying around in the shop. Can someone tell me what performance I might expect from it by installing it in a 9.2:1 289 w/'69 351 heads.. Here is the spec sheet:

300/300 duration ---- 228/228 @ .050 lift
.477 lift
114 lobe center

Lopey idle and strong mid range. Bottom end will be sluggish. I would recomend it for a stick only.

thanks MM,
It's definately going in a stick car with 3.50 gears..I was thinking about installing advanced 2-4 degrees for better low end.. What's your thought on that?

Put it in straight up with the stick.

Would this cam make a good candidate for a street/strip Nitrous grind ??

The wide LSA looks good, but wouldn't you want a bias towards the exhaust side on the duration of a nitrous cam??

With as mild a combo as you have the cam would be OK with nitrous.

Maybe I'll use a 1.72 rocker on the exhaust side and 1.62 on the intake, to free it up a little..
