Pantera International Motorsport is showing a new 351C aluminum cylinder head on their web site: http://www.pim.net/newprod601.htm they're clalling the head a 3V due to it's ports being something between a 2V and a 4V. The head is made by the same Australian manufacturer that makes the Vapours intake manifold that PIM imports. I believe that company is Active: He's the guy that imports the cross-flow EFI intake for the Cleveland. I believe the intake is made by Active: Active manifolds+components 363 Victoria Road Rydalmere NSW 2116 ph [02]98980788 fax[02]98980968 but I've not verified that. The also make a very nice cross flow EFI intake for the Cleveland. The port size is matched to the Vapours intake and is somewhere between a 2V and a 4V. You'd need to port the head to match a 4V intake manifold port or port a 2V intake to match the head size. It's not clear how well it will match high port (A3/B351/C302) type intakes. Perhaps I can get them to send me an outline of the ports and bolt holes and I can check it against my intake collection? The guy at PIM said the exhaust port is raised 1/4" and will accept a 4V header. They sure look like they are raised more than that to me but, on second thought, it may be an optical illusion since the port floor doesn't drop like a 4V. On my Pantera and on my Mustang, for that matter, even a 1/4" would mean some header and pipe re-work. I asked a couple of other questions about valve length etc. but the guy I spoke to at PIM wasn't sure since they've only just received their first head. I need to contact Mike Fielder and see if he's bringing one to the Columbus all-Ford swap over Thanksgiving. Dan Jones

those ports look like they are raised a bunch. Maybe the top edge is only 1/4" higher On something like a Boss 302 Maverick 1/4" might as well be a foot for header fit.

You see what that company is charging for BARE 351C closed chamber heads and Aussie heads?!?!?!$650 for the 4V heads and $799 for the Aussies! http://www.pim.net/apage.html You can buy either one all day long for less than half that at swap meets! Hmmm... I wonder if those heads can be purchased significantly cheaper? The Active intake I have, has the standard 2v port size. It was also offered in the standard 4v port size. Unless there is another intake that they are selling on that site, something will need ported to match even using the Active intake.[This message has been edited by kid vishus (edited 11-14-2001).]

The aussie 2V 302 (closed chamber) heads are a dime a dozen over here. (I have a set doing nothing in my gararge) If only I had a matter transfer machine... I could get them to the US for nothing, sell them for $200 a pair, and make a fortune! Paul
