Where can I find the best billet bearing caps for a 9 inch? I finally pulled the rearend apart after our debacle in Norwalk. The ring and pinion were still intact, more or less, but both bearing caps were broken out in the middle. I'm going to take the axles to work on Saturday and put them between centers and check for bend.------------------ Paul Garant "No replacement for displacement."

Don't bother.Someone used to make them, but they are a precision fit (like a main cap) and need line bored to work. In addition to that, they are threaded in conjunction with the case, and you'd have to find a way to make the threads mate up. By the time all this was done, you'd be MUCH further ahead in purchasing any of the aftermarket cases out there that start around $300, and are MUCH stronger than the stockers. Most come with billet caps and 5/8" bolts. H.R.W. would be a better option at around $335. If you break this your engine is much the man. I have two set up for for the old horse & the are hanging in quite well. Later, Mark J.
