Just wondering what plugs you guys are using with a 351c with closed chamber heads and flat top pistons? I have tried NGK R5674-7 and Motorcraft 42's. The Motorcrafts seem to burn a little hotter as they look alot cleaner when removed.

I run NGK -6's with that kind of compression on gas. The -7's are too cold. I run those when it is on alchohol.

We use ACDelco CR42TS . Next time on the dyno we will try some Champions. More later. ------------------

AF-22 or ASF-22 Motorcrafts. The power tip will keep them clean and the heat range is better suited for your compression and high RPM use. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00 & '01 Fleet of FoMoCo products Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link

Question about motorcraft plugs. What is the difference in an ASF42C and an ASF52C? Is the first number the heat range on the motorcraft plugs? I know most are the last. Well NGK and Autolite. I dont dare use the other names!!

The first number is the heat range. A 52 is one step hotter than a 42. The second number is the tip. A 2 denotes a power tip extension that is self cleaning.
