Steve, you put in a link here a little while ago about some thoughts on the topic. I'm still not sure about going over 3.850 for my 351C stroker project but can't get through on the link you mentioned. Have you got a copy. Also spotted a set of SVO sportsman heads on e-bay that were (apparently) compatable with both 351 C and W. Is this correct? I didn't think there were many ali heads out there for the cleveland.

David,

If you're looking for Cleveland heads I have a nice set that is race ready with strip dominator intake. E-mail me at [email protected] if interested.

I wonder how much shipping to New Zealand would be?

Thanks for all that. Plenty to think about with rod length vs. cylinder wall pressure vs. increased weight/inertia vs max rpm vs. wear. Me thinks, under duress/discussion with other half of build team, we will go Windsor instead to avoid too much compromise and use a 9.480 block. 'Tis annoying as 4 bolt Cleveland cores are about USD$150 down here. Cheaper for us than a 2 bolt windsor core and now we'll have to run with Milodon 4 bolt caps. Also they want second hand ali heads and there is plenty more available for the windsor. As for shipping, sometimes the boats heading downunder miss us and fall off the edge
