Hi, have someone ever tried to lighten the rotating parts of the C4? If so did you see any effect of this or did something break? Im thinking about drilling the output shaft and turning the steel hubs down a little. I need to lose some more et in order to move up a few places in the qualifying list. There is a few chevys within reach . ------------------

Try Lentech Automotive 1-877-LENTECH 613-838-5390They are in Canada. I know they sell a version of the AOD that can take 1200hp(claimed) so they probably have C4 stuff as well.

My all aluminum JPT C-4 is 21 lbs. lighter than my lightweight steel unit. The lightweight steel unit is better than ANYONE's unit and is virtually bullit proof. There is about a tenth in lightening the drums, sun shell, and shaft from stock steel. Another .005 can be gained by using an aluminum drum. My all aluminum trans is a one of a kind prototype that is .11 to .12 quicker than my lightweight steel unit. We have most of the reliability bugs worked out of it now and duplicates will be available on the market by the end of October. If I had the aluminum trans in the car this weekend I could have gone high 10.60's easily at Earlville. You can now E-mail JPT and get answers and prices via the internet at [email protected]. Just tell him that Alex sent you and you are a member of M&M and you will get good pricing and the best service. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00 & '01 Fleet of FoMoCo products Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link
