I cant find a place to put a torque over chain.I have a 351w in a 65 stang.I cant seem to be able to use the front of the drivers side head.Because the chain will hit the oil sender, when i bolt it to the front of head and down to the sway bar mount.I had to put an extension for my oil sender to fit the block.I know that my almost stock motor will be ok without one,but I like the added insurance of the chain. There is no room in the back of the motor either.------------------ 65 coupe with a stock 1969 351w,RPM intake,carter625cfm,shorty hedmen hedders, black magic electric fan, stock C4,peg leg 8" 2:80,Boss 429 hood scoop.

I used and old alternator spacer to space it away from the head. I cut it to about 1.5" long. Take a look at it:Later, David Cole

I did it just like DaveC, but w/o the turnbuckle. I used a longer bolt below with double nuts to adjust the tension. Leave about 1/3" of slack in it.SteveW

yeah, but what if you got aluminum heads where do you attach it? the water pump bolts are to skinny to go there and its gotta be a mess to rip the end off the head. i know my motor torques bad because of all the dings in the hood from the breather, so other than a torque plate any suggestions? how bad of a choice would solid motor mounts be in my case, the car is driven now and then.------------------ 67 coupe, 650dp and rpm intake on 5.0 with afr 165 heads, 4 speed, 4.11's.....best so far is [email protected] in 1/8 mile with 1.91 60ft. time.
