Do you need to do any mods to the cleveland in order to run a roller cam? Other than a bronze distributor gear and a different thrust bearing? Might try one.

My suggestion, double pin the cam.
Twice now, I have sheared the pin off in the front of the cam and bent alot of parts.

If you run a mechanical roller, no. A hydraulic roller needs a couple of holes drilled and tapped for the lifter retainer. {spyder}
