If I stay with my Weiand X-cellerator intake and have my stall converter changed to 3500-4000. Would a dual plane manifold still help me out with bottom end torque or should I stick with the single plane as I would be into mid range power?

70coupe,With that much converter I would think you would be past the "flat" spot in the torque band. I would be afraid a dual plane intake would really limit the top end power. I would leave the intake on, change the converter and maybe (depending on what you have) change the gear ratio. Just my opninion

When I was actually driving my 70 fastback on the street, I ran a 4400 converter with 4.11's and a single plane intake. It had a dual plane on it for a short period of time, but it was alot faster with the single plane, and the 60 ft times were even better. I thought maybe you had something like 3.25's or so. With that gear and that much converter, I would leave the single plane on it.
