Hello everyone! I finally got the Tomcat back and running, still breaking it in, though. It really really needs the lower gears. I am currently running a set of tree-fiddy's. I have a 4.11 Traction Lok pumpkin at home all ready to go, except that is a 31 spline unit. Soooo, I need to get some 31 spline axles.

Which ones should I get? Strange, Moser, someone else? What kind of prices? I am planning on going with the 3 inch studs at this time as well. What else will I want to get with the new axles? What kind of info do I need for ordering, like length?

Thanks for all the help!
Tom

Tom,

I use Moser, they are good axles and they have a 48 hour turn-around on custom axles. 3" studs are std. Paid about $320 (if I remember right for the last pair). Get their bearings and backing plates installed too. Here's a link to them,

I use strange S/S axles on everything I build. My brother and father on the other hand use moser units. I don't think it would really make that big of difference. I looked at both when I bought the axles for my Falcon, and the only reason I bought the stranges was the wait time on the mosers was too long for the pieces I bought.
