Anyone have a suggestion on the jettings for our carb. The 351W has a 750 Holley double pumper on it. Presently it has 71 in front and 83 in back. Squirters are 32's front and back. That must have been how it came from the store because we haven't made any changes. Anyway, the car was running way too lean for the last two races and been inconsistent as heck. Any recommendations. A fellow racer suggested we go up two at a time, logging the results, and when the MPH begins to go backwards. To stop and back up one. That could take several passes at the track and they're calling for rain on thursday, our testntune day and I don;t want to race again Sat like it is without some change. Shell ladyracer

Put a 35 squirter in the front and up the primary jets to 75 Ken. That should get you in the ball park. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member Fleet of FoMoCo products Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link

When you say "way too lean", do you mean that it is so lean it is popping and banging? or that it is just not consistent? Too rich is just as inconsistent as too lean. The only real way to tell is to check the plugs, make a pass and shut it off under power and pull a plug then and see how the color looks. But if you are sure it too lean, I would go up 2 sizes in both the front and the back at the same time and see how it responds to that much change.

I always listen to Alex's advice. He didn't get where he is by not knowing a thing or two about carbs, and everything else tooThanks, Shell ladyracer
