Well guys, since my last post about piston slap,I've been able to find someone with more knowledge than I have.
It seems it very well may be the main rod bearings. The noise is getting worse.Anyway,,
I've bought another 351c 2v and I'm getting ready to pull and take the old 1 apart.

Any sugestions for a low budget build up??
I've got the KB pistons from the old engine,
2 cams with very little miles or useage,280H and a 292H (Crane Cams). 2 intakes,holley St.dominator and Weind X-celarator.
Use any of it or junk it all ??? 8.59 was the best we ran with the 292h and the X-celarator,running 4.11 gears.

thanks guys,,,,,,perk

I would pull the current motor out and take the pan off and see what really is making the noise before it blows up. It's a whole lot easier (and cheaper) to put bearings in a motor than build any low budget deal.

Just my opinion.

Hey Kid !! We are for sure going to pull the engine and check it out from the bottom up..
Want be happening untill the week of the 18th though. That's when I take my vacation and can have access to a full garage and not my old barn.
